Payment tracking

Know exactly where every payment is, without asking

Every invoice on PayStaff moves through the same visible sequence of statuses — so neither side has to guess whether a payment has actually been sent, or chase an update over chat.

Client view vs professional view

Same status, two perspectives

Client view — what you see as the payer
A running list of invoices by status, with the ones needing your attention — usually approval or funding — surfaced first. Nothing requires a separate login or a status update request.

Professional view — what you see as the payee
The same status your client sees, plus your own running earnings picture — so there’s no ambiguity about whether “submitted” means “paid”.

Exceptions

When a payment needs a closer look

A payment can stall for ordinary reasons — a client hasn't reviewed it yet, a bank transfer is taking longer than usual, or a dispute has been raised over part of the amount. Payment tracking is designed to make that visible immediately rather than leaving either side wondering.

Flagged items surface clearly against the invoice they relate to, with the history of what happened attached, so getting a stalled payment moving again doesn't mean starting an investigation from scratch.
