Cross-border payments

One corridor, built specifically for it: Australia to the Philippines

PayStaff is built around a single payment corridor — AUD funding on the Australian side, PHP payout on the Philippine side — rather than a generic global transfer product retrofitted for every currency pair.

How currency conversion fits into the payment

Every cross-border payment on PayStaff involves converting from Australian dollars to Philippine pesos. The conversion is performed by PayStaff’s licensed payment partner at the point funds enter processing, using a rate referenced to the prevailing wholesale market rate plus a disclosed spread. What won’t change is the principle: whatever the mechanism, the rate applied to a given transfer is shown to both the Australian client and the Filipino professional as part of the payment record — before the client confirms funding, and again on the professional’s payout receipt — not something either side has to ask for.

Fees

Cross-border FAQ

Common questions about the AU–PH transfer

How long does a transfer take once it's funded?
Most transfers complete within one to three business days of the client authorising payment, depending on the professional’s chosen payout method and banking cut-off times in both countries. The in-progress status is visible throughout — see Payment Tracking.
PayStaff is deliberately built around one corridor: AUD funding from Australian clients, converted to PHP for Filipino professionals. This focus is what lets us give clear, corridor-specific answers instead of generic multi-currency disclaimers.
Funds that can’t be routed successfully are held by PayStaff’s payment partner and returned to the client’s funding source; the invoice reverts to “Approved” status so it can be re-funded once the issue — usually a bank detail mismatch — is resolved.
