Screenshots

Optional, disclosed, and never a surprise

Screenshot capture in SIPAG is off by default for any relationship where it isn’t explicitly agreed, and disclosed clearly to the professional before it’s ever turned on.

How screenshots work

From capture to what's kept

1

Disclosure

The professional is told screenshots are enabled before capture begins, as part of accepting that specific client relationship in Connect.

2

Capture behaviour

A screenshot of the active screen is taken at a randomised interval, roughly every eight to twelve minutes during an active tracked session — never while tracking is paused or stopped.

3

Viewing permissions

Only specific, defined roles on the client side — typically the direct manager and account owner — can view captured screenshots. Broader team members do not get access by default.

4

Retention

Screenshots are retained for fourteen days and then permanently deleted, unless one has been attached as evidence to an open PayStaff Protect dispute, in which case it’s retained until that case closes.

Privacy boundaries

What screenshots are for, and where the limits sit

Screenshots exist to support proof of work for specific tasks or disputes — not as a constant surveillance feed. SIPAG is designed so that capture is tied to active tracked sessions, viewing access is limited to defined roles rather than open to anyone at the client organisation, and the professional always has visibility into what’s been captured about their own work, including the ability to view every screenshot taken of their session from their own SIPAG account.
